Guy, we are at Wendy's place and last night I listened to your audio of Epona Said and just now I played both for me and Pete. Mere everyday words are not enough to describe the effect of your drawing AND your words, delivered in one of the best, deepest and resonating voices going around. You inspire us bods in every way, Guy. Love your soundscape too. Makes my synth fingers itch. When we arrived on Wednesday at Wendy's, your book awaited us. Wendy was gleeful. Love it, treasure it and the beautiful mixed media drawing you 'slipped in'. Can't wait for the next one. Cate and Pete in the Tropics xx
Cheers Cate. It was interesting making it too. It's pretty amazing what freely available technology is available to use now. Couldn't have imagined putting something together like this in the 80s without expensive kit (I suppose a lot of what's about now is the result of that burst of enthusiasm for freeware and shareware that came from the early days of the internet). The camera is a 13 year old point and shoot (Pentax Q), some of the audio software is a quarter of a century old!! (Audacity), and my best keyboard was a gift from an uncle. Other choices of audio kit were led by my son Luke. He used to work selling and using the stuff, and stumped up loads of advice on hardware that he considered probably overkill for my needs (ability!) or overpriced for what I'd get out of it. It's a pretty compact little set-up, and I'm getting more and more familiar with it now. So the second story in a similar vein shouldn't be too long coming.
